USS Hammer - sketch by DonMeiklejohn USS Hammer - sketch by DonMeiklejohn
The idea of this ship ship started with the action of the nacelles rotating so to deploy the weapons arms as well as conceal the nacelles from any damage. The rest of the ship was built around it.

looks cool, kind of reminds me of the jem'hadar ship but backwards.

Hey Yeah I didnt even see that!
I was basing it on the Catamaran hull and then add some nacelles and there she is :-)
I designed it to be the next stage of design to bridge between the Defiant and a Intrepid class ship.
There was a different version which turned out very, very bad!

Looks like the Federation is taking designs from the Klingon's.  It also looks like the bridge module is warp capable.  Was that intentional?  It would be fitting with the design elements; like one large escape pod holding the majority of the senior staff.

Yes the bridge was to be and ejectable section - loosely based on the runabout design but much larger.

From what I understand the bridge on Federation vessels are built separate from the rest of the saucer and can be switched out fairly easily; the same is true for battle-bridges.  Adding warp nacelles is logical step up from there.  They don't have to be obvious, though - the nacelles could be set on fold-out pylons.

wow great detail, if more people had your talent, then colored pencil drawings would be 10x more popular.

great details ,is it fair to say that this stye of drawing lends itself to details more than 3d models?

Id love to see a peregrine fighter drawn with this kind of detail.
